'Your home is burnt now': Brittany Snow breaks silence on her 2023 ...

Brittany Snow has broken her silence on her divorce from Selling OC star Tyler Stanaland. 

"This person is your home, and your home is burnt now," she told Call Her Daddy podcast host Alex Cooper of her feelings after leaving her now ex-husband. 

Snow filed for divorce in January of 2023 citing "irreconcilable differences" after the world saw an awkward love triangle unfold on Selling OC between Stanaland and his co-stars Alex Hall and Kayla Cardona.

"I will preface this with, they've taken up –and I'm collectively calling them all 'they' because I don't know any of them except for my ex husband," said Snow. "They took up a lot of energy and emotion and time, and real estate, in my head. I don't want to give them anymore time and energy because then they would win and they would get what they wanted. "

The world became privy to Stanaland's flirty behaviour with his co-stars when season one of the show aired in August, 2022. 

"Of course I saw it, I watched it with my dog," shared Snow, adding that she was by herself when first seeing it all unfold on screen.

"It was the worst day," she said. 

Cooper then asked Snow if she "knew her" alluding to Stanaland's castmates, to which Snow responded, "um, which one?"

The Pitch Perfect star continued on, sharing that she had no idea what was going on and found it all incredibly "shocking."

"I was not aware of a lot of things, I'll say that. I will say what people think happened, happened," she said, seemingly alluding to the fact that she was cheated on. "I had instincts and I think because I was in love, I didn't trust them."

The actress shared that as someone who is "100 per cent" private with her relationships, having it all unfold so publicly on reality TV was "the hardest part," adding that she "wasn't going to play that game" and speak on it publicly at the time.

She told Cooper that it was her friends that helped her through the divorce, in particular, one of her Pitch Perfect co-stars.

"There was this one time that I texted one of the girls from Pitch Perfect, one of the Bellas, I said 'what do you do in this situation, how did you handle this emotion?' because it's so much pain that I didn't know if I could do it," Snow said.

"And she just said, 'you just sit there, and you just take it, and you just exist.' And I just remember sitting there and being like 'okay I'm just going to exist' and then it just passes."

In terms of her love life today, Snow shared that she is dating, and although she's cautious, marriage isn't completely off the cards.

"Marriage is f--king awesome, I loved being married. I really thrive in a relationship," she said. "I think that there's something so beautiful about coming together and being like, 'we got each other.'"

She also shared that she's currently grappling with the idea of whether or not you can have that without the paperwork, just because she's "been on the other side.

"But I'm also a hopeless romantic," she added. "I love love, I can't help it. So I would love to be able to believe in marriage again. And I date to, you know, I'm dating to find my person."
