Hofstra Heads To Fairfield And Marist For Midweek Games

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra Pride baseball team will play a pair of non-conference games on the road this week, competing at Fairfield on April 16 and Marist on April 17. Tuesday's game is scheduled for 3 p.m., while first pitch on Wednesday is at 3:30 p.m.

The Fairfield game will be live streamed on Stags Sports Network with live statistics also available. Marist has not released broadcast or live stat information as of yet. Links for any game coverage can be found on the baseball schedule page of GoHofstra.com.

The Pride (11-23) will be looking to get back in the win column and snap a five-game losing streak. Hofstra is coming off being swept at Elon this past weekend in CAA play.

The Stags are 16-17 on the season and are riding a three-game winning streak following a series sweep over Saint Peter's this past weekend. Fairfield is in the midst of an 11-game home stand and are 12-5 at Don '63 and Chris '88 Cook Field. Hofstra is 11-14 all-time against the Stags and won last season at home, 11-10, on a balk call in the bottom of the ninth inning. 

The Red Foxes of Marist are 12-22 on the season and are coming off a win over Rider this past Sunday. Hofstra is 6-7-2 all-time against Marist, The teams have not played since 2012.

Following the two non-conference games, the Pride will return home to host CAA newcomer Campbell in a weekend series beginning Friday afternoon.
