Kim Kardashian's 2024 Met Gala Beauty is All About a “Natural ...

It’s Kim Kardashian’s 11th year walking the steps of the Met Gala—and this year, she and her glam team decided to change things up. “For past Met Gala looks, I’ve typically gone for more glam, matte makeup,” Kardashian exclusively tells Vogue. “This year, we focused on the skin and highlighting a natural luminous look.”

Naturally, that started with her own Skkn by Kim Face Cream for “a gorgeous, glowy look.” Next up, her longtime makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic was on deck. The final look was created with Makeup by Mario SurrealSkin Foundation and Awakening Concealer, Soft Pop Plumping Blush Veil in shade Perfect Pink. and a lipstick combo that Kardashian calls “my iconic nude lip”: the Ultra Suede Sculpting Lip Pencil in Smokey Pink and Suede Lipstick in Sam.

“For Kim’s Met Gala Glam this year we wanted to go for a paired down makeup that was natural and effortless with light bronzed and softly sculpted complexion to enhance her natural beauty,” Dedivanovic shares.

For hair, Chris Appleton created an undone braid. “The hair looks lived in,” Appleton shares. “Imagine a braid that loosened up and fell out like you have been tussling around in the garden.” Prepping the hair was a two-step routine using Color Wow’s Money Mist Leave-in and Dream Coat for Curly Hair, then the Shark Flexstyle worked to blow dry and add style and dimension.

Kardashian is a newly-minted blonde and Appleton says the shade had to be just right. “We couldn’t have warm golden hair—it had to be icy and cool to complement the colors of the gown. This shade is silvery and cool.”
