Why Did Kim Kardashian Wear a Cardigan to the Met Gala?

At the Met Gala on Monday, Kim Kardashian’s organs may have been cinched for dear life, but at least her shoulders were cozy. Like many other stars, she showed up in a John Galliano design. She paired her silver Maison Margiela Artisanal gown with a cropped gray cashmere sweater that she held tight to her chest, leaving some to wonder whether she had a wardrobe malfunction on her way to the museum.

But no. Kardashian told red-carpet reporters that the cardigan was part of her interpretation of a wild night in the “Garden of Time,” the evening’s dress code. “I just ran out and grabbed my boyfriend’s sweater and threw it on and had to get to work,” she said, according to “Page Six.” “And my hair is all messed up.”

As far as we know, she was referring to a metaphorical boyfriend. People reported last week that she and her most recent fling, Odell Beckham Jr., had fizzled out.
