2025 FQ Provisional Declaration of Boys Advanced Junior Leagues ...
Football Queensland has confirmed the Provisional Declaration of Leagues for Under 9 to Under 18 Boys Advanced Junior competitions for 2025.
The release of the Provisional Declaration of Leagues follows the completion of the FQ Club Development Unit’s extensive Club Assessment process which observes, measures and assesses over 1,500 data points across 75 different criteria for each of the FQ Academy clubs.
“Reflecting on a successful 2024 season that showcased the incredible talent of our young FQ Academy players across multiple competitions, leagues and carnivals, we are pleased to announce the 2025 Provisional Declaration of Leagues for advanced junior boys,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“Football Queensland’s comprehensive Club Assessment process, led by the FQ Club Development Unit, serves as the foundation for the structure, design, and ranking of advanced junior leagues for both boys and girls. This process provides an in-depth evaluation of each club’s junior development program and technical environment, grounded in global best practices.
“The Club Rank Score for each club plays a crucial role in forming these advanced junior leagues, with an algorithm primarily based on the Club Assessment score, alongside a minor consideration of league-specific ladder points and other factors.
“Football Queensland would like to congratulate each of our FQ Academy clubs for their ongoing commitment to improving junior player development outcomes and will continue to work with these clubs to facilitate their ongoing progression as we strive for the delivery of outstanding advanced club environments across each league.”
FQ Academy QAS Girls teams will continue to participate in FQ Academy Boys leagues and the NPL Women’s leagues in 2025.
A club’s participation in FQ Academy leagues for the 2025 season is contingent upon confirmation of a club’s FQ affiliation, and approval and compliance with various conditions (mandatory or otherwise) contained within FQ advanced junior participation licence agreements. Participation is not guaranteed to any club in any league until the final Declaration of Leagues is made by FQ and the club is invited to complete a licence agreement. Some clubs’ Rank Score may be still under review.
