Billionaire Adrian Portelli offers $200k reward after thieves break ...
Billionaire Adrian Portelli has offered a $200,000 reward after his business was broken into on Wednesday night.
Portelli shared three CCTV clips on social media after several offenders used sledgehammers to smash their way into the LMCT+ premises in Melbourne's northern suburbs.
The 34-year-old, who is best known for making his fortune from running a promotions and giveaway company, told his followers nothing was taken.
"A few guys with sledgehammers thought it would be a great idea to break through the window,'' he said.
"They left empty-handed in their pursuit of happiness, trying to find their pot of gold.
"Guys, I do not keep money, keys, or anything of value on site. If you want yourself a Coco Republic couch you're more than welcome to come in and steal it. I'm from the west as well mate, you think I'm going to sit here publicising all this cash and say come on guys help yourself to it in the factory."
Portelli, who just welcomed his first child, said the incident was "disrespectful".
"I don't need these (people) breaking into my s--- especially since I just had a kid," he continued.
The businessman initially offered a $100,000 reward for information.
"We're going to play a little game, it's called convict the criminal," he said.
"I'm going to give someone $100,000, transferred into their bank instantly, for anyone that provides information that leads to an arrest and a conviction. Guys, $100,000 if you give the information to me or the police that are on this case."
Hours later - he doubled the reward money.
"I'm upping it up to $200,000 for whoever can get me the names of the people who broke into this shop last night," Portelli told his 292,000 Instagram followers.
"If you've got the information, come forward. You will remain anonymous. Let's end this, once and for all."
