72’

68’ GOOALL! HAZ 1-4 NAS- RONALDOOO!!

This is excellent football by Al Nassr. Mane finds Ghareeb with a cutback from the left flank. Ghareeb could have gone for the shot, but instead lays off the ball for Ronaldo, who had ample time and space to blast the ball inside the net with a well-taken shot.

62’

Konan belts it from almost 40 yards out. He connects well with the ball but cannot keep his effort on target.

That would have been better than Badamosi’s strike if the ball went in.

60’

That third goal seems to have deflated the morale of Al Hazem players. Badamosi’s goal and the nature of it, was a booster for the home team. But right now, Al Hazem players look tired.

57’ GOOALL!! HAZ 1-3 NAS- OTAVIO SCORES FIRST AL NASSR GOAL!

That was teamwork at its best!

Brozovic spots Ronaldo’s run to his left and slips a pass to the Portuguese past a couple of Hazem players. That pass completely splits open the Hazem defence. Ronaldo, instead of going for the shot, squares the ball to Otavio, who taps it inside the open net for his first Al Nassr goal.

56’

Al Hazem with a cheap giveaway yet again and Otavio gets the ball. He passes it to Ronaldo who looks to run at goal. He goes down from a challenge and loses the ball. Ronaldo wants a freekick but the referee waves play to go on.

49’

There is a brief check to see whether a handball preceded Badamosi’s goal but VAR has a look and gives a goal. It would have been a shame if that goal was ruled out.

48’ GOOALL! HAZ 1-2 NAS - BADAMOSI WITH A STUNNER!

Badamosi shoots at goal from almost 35-yards out. It is a rocket of a shot as the ball flies in and rattles the net. That was a spectacular sight. Definitely a goal-of-the-season contender in any league so far.

47’ Mane hits the post!

Mane almost scores Al Nassr’s third early in the second-half. He cuts in and aims for the far-corner. The ball hits the post and comes back into play. Ronaldo shoots from the rebound but hits the side-netting.

45+4’

Mane shows exquisite feet to get away from his marker. He passes the ball to Ronaldo, who does well to get a shot away in a tight space. Dahmen makes the save.

45+3’

Al Ghanam finds Ghareeb from the right flank. It was a good ball from Ghanam and Ghareeb again goes for a first-time shot, opening the face of his boot. But again, he cannot keep his effort on target.

45’

12 minutes added at the end the first-half. The first-half had so many stoppages so this is not surprising.

45’

Chance- Mane’s curling shot is saved by Dahmen. The rebound falls to Otavio who sends the ball to Ghareeb with a cutback. Ghareeb goes for a first-time shot but blasts the ball above goal.

44’

Brozovic almost finds Ronaldo with an excellent aerial through ball but the ball is cleared just at the last moment.

43’

There is another lengthy VAR check to see whether Al Ghanam had handled the ball inside the box while clearing the ball. After the check, it is found that the ball had actualy come off Ghanam’s shoulder.

40’ VAR CHECK- NO GOAL!

VAR has a lengthy check after the Mane goal was given and the referee is called to the screen. He has a look and overturns his decision. He says Ghanam had committed a foul on his marker while crossing the ball to Ghareeb.

36’ GOOOALL!! HAZ 0-2 NAS- MANE DOUBLES LEAD!

Al Nassr has doubled its lead in lightning fast pace. Al Ghanam crosses from the right and the ball reaches Ghareeb. Ghareeb passes it to Mane, who scores with a first-time finish.

32’

Chance- Brozovic swings in a good ball inside the box from a corner. Ronaldo leaps to reach the ball and head it at goal from close distance, but sends it straight to Dahmen. The ball might have taken a touch before it reached Dahmen.

31’

The match resumes after play halted momentarily for a water break.

27’ Nawaf with an excellent save!

Viana rifles a shot at goal on the volley. It was the cleanest of contacts as the ball arrowed towards goal, only to palmed away courtesy of an excellent reaction save by Al Nassr keeper Nawaf Alaqidi.

24’

Ronaldo takes a shot from the edge of the box but Aymen Dahmen makes a good save. There was a rebound, which Mane looked to get to but Dahmen recovered well to collect the ball after making the intitial save.

24’

Mane spreads the ball to the left flank with Al Ghanam chasing the ball. Ghanam slips a pass to Brozovic, who in turn tries to slip a pass to Ronaldo. But Al Dakheel does well to intercept and clear the ball.

22’

Ronaldo whips the ball inside the box from the left flank, with the hope of finding Mane. The Senegalese had made the run but could not reach the ball as it was intercepted by the Al Hazem backline.

19’

The referee tried to play an advantage as Brozovic was brought down. Ronaldo had the chances to poke the ball to Mane on the right, which would have sent him through on goal. But Ronaldo fails to control the ball and the referee brings the play back for an Al Nassr freekick.

15’

Al Hazem forward Badamosi shows good pace to chase the ball amidst pressure. He does reach it and gets a shot away from a tight angle. The shot is weak and it is an easy collect for Al Nassr keeper Nawaf.

14’

Mane’s cross finds Ghareeb on the left. The latter crosses to the middle and Ronaldo tries to bring the ball down by sticking a foot out. But the Portuguese cannot control the ball.

12’ VAR says No-Goal!

After three long minutes of checking, VAR confirms that Al Khaibari was indeed offside and the ball came off Laporte. Scores remain 0-0.

11’

VAR is having a long look at whether the ball took a touch off an Al Hazem defender and then came to Al-Khaibari. In that case, the goal would stand.

9’ Al Nassr goal ruled out- Offside!

Laporte heads the ball down from the corner, which reaches Al-Khaibari. He does well to connect with the ball and head the ball inside the net.

8’

Mane tries to get past his marker with a burst of pace but the ball takes a deflection off an Al Hazem player and goes out for a corner.

5’

Ronaldo gets at the end of a good ball played over the top. He chests it down and tries to volley it at goal. But he does not get a strong connection and the Al Hazem keeper collects.

It would not have mattered anyway. The offside flag goes up after Ronaldo takes his shot.
