Alice Springs baby attack sparks action calls - ABC listen
The serious injury of a two month baby by armed youths in Alice Springs is prompting residents in the town to demand the NT Government and police do more to protect them in their own homes from escalating violent crime.
The baby is in a stable condition in hospital in Adelaide after being hit with a metal bar.
The NT Government has promised to increase policing in the town, but it has ruled out giving residents more legal protections to defend themselves in their own homes, for now.
