At just 28 years old, Melbourne footballer Angus Brayshaw has been forcibly retired by the AFL on the recommendation of medical experts.Brayshaw is known for wearing a helmet when he played, having experienced a string of concussions throughout his career.

 Professor Alan Pearce is a concussion expert at La Trobe University, and Research Manager at the Australian Sports Brain Bank, he says he hopes that this may shift the dial on player health and longer recoveries. So, will it shake up the AFL's approach to concussions?
