Arsenal vs. Everton Premier League 2024 online streaming: start ...
Arsenal host Everton at the Emirates in the final match of the Premier League season. The Gunners need to win and get some help from West Ham managing a result against Manchester City to win the Premier League. Everton have almost nothing to play for, they assured themselves safety three weeks ago. The only thing at stake for Sean Dyche’s club is one place-worth of finish in the table and, of course, the ability to play spoiler.
The Gunners cannot overlook the Toffees. Everton have gone unbeaten in five straight Premier League matches with four wins since getting thrashed 6-0 by Chelsea last month. They’ve conceded the 4th-fewest goals in the Premier League, their defensive record only bettered by Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool. The visitors will likely make it hard on Arsenal to find a way through. On the other hand, Everton have scored the second-fewest goals in the Premier League, 39, only woeful Sheffield United have scored fewer.
It would be horrible if West Ham managed the improbably by taking points off City only to have Arsenal fail to uphold their end of the bargain. Fortunately, I don’t think that’s going to happen. Manchester City are going to dismantle West Ham, who have the worst defensive record outside of clubs in the relegation zone.
Whatever happens in Manchester, assuming Arsenal take care of business, enjoy today. This has been a tremendous Arsenal season. They’ve gone 15-1-1 in 2024 to take City down to the wire. They’ve won the most games in club Premier League history. They’ve dropped points in the same number of games as the Invincibles. This team has been magnificent. And they should only get better next season.
Arsenal have everybody fit and available. It remains to be seen whether Jurrien Timber makes the matchday squad, but he’s reportedly ready. It would be a nice bookend to the season and moment for him to make a cameo appearance on the last day of the season after going out with an ACL tear 50 minutes into the campaign. Hopefully Arsenal and the Emirates faithful have a chance to give Mo Elneny a proper, final sendoff. The Egyptian is out of contract this summer and not expected to remain in North London.
UPDATE: Bukayo Saka misses out today with a “slight muscle issue” according to the club.
Everton hope that André Gomes will be available for selection. Jack Harrison, Vitalii Mykolenko, Nathan Patterson, and Dele Ali are all out with injury.
Have fun, y’all. Celebrate this bunch.
