Ayodhya Ram Mandir Inauguration Live Updates: In the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several dignitaries, the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony for Shri Ram Lalla is set to take place on January 22.

The deity Ram's idol, crafted by Arun Yogiraj, was positioned within the temple's Sanctum Sanctorum. Draped in a veil, the initial photograph of the idol was unveiled during the placement ceremony in the Sanctum Sanctorum on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Congress turned down the invitation for the 'Pran Pratistha' ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla. Ayodhya Ram Mandir Inauguration LIVE Updates: The general and morning shifts of all the government and government aided schools will remain closed on Monday, according to the latest order issued by the Delhi Government’s Directorate of Education.

The Education Directorate has also made it clear that the evening shift of all the govt and govt aided schools will can start at 02:30 p.m. on 22.01.2024 and will be off as per their usual timings, maximum by 5:30 pm. 

“In accordance with the Office Memorandum issued by the Services Department of GNCTD declaring Half Day Closure (upto 02:30 pm) of all Delhi Govt. establishments on 22.01.2024 to enable the employees to participate in the celebrations of Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha being held at Ayodhya, all Govt. & Govt. Aided Schools of Delhi running in General & Morning Shift are ordered to remain closed on 22.01.2024. However, all Govt. & Govt. Aided Schools running in Evening Shift shall start at 02:30 p.m. on 22.01.2024 and will be off as per their usual timings but not later than 05:30 p.m. This arrangement is only for 22.01.2024 (Monday)." read the order.

Ram temple consecration: More than 5 lakh ‘diyas' will be illuminated across 700 markets in Delhi to mark the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya on Monday, said local traders' body Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI).

"The fervour has led to a surge in demand for Ram Mandir-related goods, with a four-fold increase in requests for flags, models, costumes, badges, and photos," CTI chairman Brijesh Goyal and president Subhash Khandelwal said in a joint statement.

Ayodhya Ram Mandir Inauguration Live: In the wake of Ram temple Pran Pratishtha ceremony on Monday, all the casinos in Goa will remain shut for eight hours from 8 am, an official from a casino management confirmed PTI. 

In Goa, there are six off shore casinos and several on shore casinos operating in Goa. The off shore casino vessels are anchored in the Mandovi river near state capital Panaji.

“When everyone is keeping their businesses closed and holidays have been declared to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime event, why should we not do it," Shrinivas Nayak, director of the Majestic Pride group which operates some of these casinos, told PTI.

Nearly 7,500 saplings of flowers brought from Maharashtra have been planted in the premises of the Ram temple here, offering a visual treat to devotees visiting the shrine.

The saplings comprising many foreign and indigenous varieties of flowers have been planted by the forest department, officials said.

Besides the flower saplings, 56 species of ornamental plants, including Aglaonema Red-Lipstick, Alocasia Black Velvet-Cucullata, Philodendron Ring of Fire-Birkin, Xanadu, Red Congo, Pink Fire, Pink Princess, Dieffenbachia White, Homalomena Bronze, Caladium Mix, Malpighia Shriram, Dracana Mahatma, Cephalandra plant, have been planted in the temple premises.

A Nakshatra Vatika comprising 27 trees, which are associated with 27 constellations, is also a part of the premises.

BJP president J P Nadda on Saturday described the January 22 Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya as a "historic occasion" and invited Indians living abroad to join the mega event from wherever they are.

The "Pran Pratishtha" ceremony, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and more than 7,000 people, will be live-streamed online.

In his virtual address to members of the Indian diaspora from here, Nadda also highlighted the achievements of the Modi government. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi said on Saturday that Babri Masjid in Ayodhya was "very systematically snatched from the Muslims. Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amjad Ali Khan are among the A-listers from the entertainment and music world who have been invited as state guests for the consecration of the grand Ram Temple here on Monday.

The 500 state guest list, accessed by PTI, features a mix of actors, directors and singers from the showbiz world invited for the event.

According to details on the list, Bachchan will fly into Ayodhya in a private chartered plane on Monday for the opening of the 161-feet-tall pink sandstone shrine.

The list features Tamil superstar Rajinikanth as well as Telugu mega stars Prabhas, Allu Arjun and Junior NTR. The south film industry will also be represented by Chiranjeevi and Mohanlal.

Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn are on the list, which also features Kangana Ranaut, Madhuri Dixit and her husband Shriram Nene. BJP MPS Hema Malini and Sunny Deol also feature in the list of invitees. (PTI)
