New Barbie Movie Trailer & Posters Unveil Full Cast, Including Dua ...

Come on Barbies, let's go party! The Barbie movie, helmed by director Greta Gerwig, is getting closer and closer, and it's finally time to meet the rest of the crew. The official Barbie movie trailer and its 24 brand-new character posters provide our first full looks at the entire cast — and there are a few special surprises.

Along with the rollout of sparkly posters, the creative and marketing team behind Barbie also launched a selfie generator that allows you to turn yourself into a Barbie or Ken, and feel like you're in Barbie Land right alongside Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. Margot and Ryan will star as the film's main Barbie and Ken, but there are a plethora of other Barbies and Kens rounding out the cast, just like the plastic doll's actual universe.

Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan is playing a diplomat Barbie, posing in an '80s-style shimmery silver dress with major pink ruffles, while Sex Education and Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa poses with a guitar and cowboy hat for his Ken moment.

Actor and media maven Issa Rae plays President Barbie, and Sex Education star (and Margot Robbie-doppelgänger) Emma Mackey's Barbie has a Nobel Prize in Physics! 

Hari Nef is Doctor Barbie, and — surprise! Pop star Dua Lipa will be sliding into the pool to play Mermaid Barbie. Dua looks every bit the perfect underwater princess in her all-blue look. (Honestly, I think I had this Barbie as a kid.) 

Scott Pilgrim star Michael Cera plays “Ken's buddy” Allan — honestly, this cast is loaded with star power, the Dreamhouse must be packed — and yet another Sex Education star, Connor Swindells, will play one of the humans, “an intern or something” to Will Ferrell's toy company CEO.

The other “humans” that round out the Barbie cast also include America Ferrera and Ariana Greenblatt, plus the legendary Helen Mirren as the narrator. We're not sure what the exact plot of the movie is yet, but the brand new trailer, which also dropped on April 5, makes it look like the perfect fever dream of color, glitter and glamour — not to mention lots and lots of bright, hot pink.

In the trailer, we see Barbie Land come to life, and yes, all the Barbies are named Barbie and all the Kens are named Ken. There are dance breaks, beach-offs, and SNL star Kate McKinnon as a Barbie who appears to have been the victim of a child's scissor and markers. We also get to see a peek of what we think sets the rest of the movie's plot in motion: Barbie and Ken (Margot and Ryan) traveling to the "Real World" in Barbie's pink convertible. Don't worry, whatever danger lies ahead of the dolls won't stand a chance, because Ken brought his rollerblades for whatever comes next.
