Bayern Munich's Vincent Kompany ready to move on and face VfL ...
Coming off their second straight defeat in the Champions League, Bayern Munich’s head coach Vincent Kompany seems eager to move on from the loss and show a reaction against Bochum in the upcoming weekend.
When asked about whether Barcelona is the best team he faced with Bayern, Kopmany said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia): “Barça is a top team in Europe, so it’s not a surprise. These are the games we want to win and show the best version of Bayern Munich. Today congratulations to Barcelona for the win, for us it’s about learning from this to show a better level in the Bundesliga and then come back to the Champions League and get more wins.”
He continued, talking about the reaction Bayern need to show (via @iMiaSanMia): “When we concede such a clear defeat, we shouldn’t be looking for excuses. We should just learn very quickly so we can show a better level against Bochum on Sunday.”
Kompany is approaching the loss with a more optimistic outlook and already looking to make an impression as Bayern returns to action in the Bundesliga. What do you think about Kompany’s statements? Is he trying to brush past the defeat? Tell us in the comments below!
