Injury setback for Bayern Munich star

According to Bild, Bayern Munich forward Arijon Ibrahimović has suffered a setback on his way to recovery from injury.

Prior to Der Rekordmeister’s pre-season trip to South Korea, Ibrahimović suffered a torn muscle in his left leg, leaving him out of action for Bayern’s friendly fixtures.

It is understood that the 18-year-old is set to be given a chance under Vincent Kompany at Bayern this season, meaning that suffering an injury during pre-season was always bound to set him back.

Nevertheless, as stated in the report, it appears as though Ibrahimović will not be back in action for the record champions anytime soon.

While going through some initial exercise at the Säbener Straße on Monday, the Germany U-19 international grabbed his troubled left leg.

Ibrahimović was able to receive treatment before completing laps of the training ground, but it is clear that he is still not close to a full recovery, meaning that he will not be able to prove his worth to Kompany over the next few months.
