The Melbourne Renegades are thrilled to announce the signing of Jordan Cox as an Overseas Replacement Player for BBL|13.

Cox, from Essex County in England, replaces Quinton De Kock on the primary list while the South African and BBL Draft recruit finishes his commitments at the Abu Dhabi T10.

Cox is an explosive batter and arrives at the Renegades in superb white ball form following fruitful stints with the Bangla Tigers in the T10 and Oval Invisibles in The Hundred.

He leaves Abu Dhabi second for the most runs scored with 265 runs at an average of 66.25, including two half centuries and the comp’s highest score with 90* from 36 deliveries.

"We're really excited to have Jordan, he's someone we've kept a very close eye on for a while now and been ultra impressed with his form," Melbourne Renegades General Manager James Rosengarten said.

"We discussed taking him in this year's draft, we rated him that highly. When the opportunity came up to sign him as an overseas replacement player, we jumped at it.

"It’s been great to watch his performances in The Hundred and T10, and we’re really excited to bring him in to this team.”

Cox was named in the Melbourne Renegades' 14-man squad to face the Sydney Sixers on Friday night.
