Dancing With The Stars 2024: WA favourites Ben Cousins and Samantha Jade advance to semifinals
As dancing stars prepared to ‘Step back in time’, the threat of a double elimination couldn’t stop local favourites Ben Cousins and Samantha Jade from advancing through to the semifinals.
The footy talent expressed “real reservations” ahead of their third performance as he and partner Siobhan Power tackled the dizzying Viennese Waltz.
Inspired by Bon Jovi’s 1992 hit Bed of Roses — the nostalgic soundtrack to their routine — Cousins cut a rockstar figure in a casual blazer and pendant as the pair ended their performance laying intertwined on the dancefloor for a score of 21 out of 40.

Offering insight into the often challenging journey, the Brownlow winner said, “I’ve not just liked it, I’ve loved it.”
Swingin’ back to the 60s, singer Samantha Jade showed she’s no stranger to the rhythm as she and partner Gustavo Viglio struck a powerful pose with the Cha Cha Cha.
Sporting an orange-spangled dress, the Perth-born musician looked every inch the performer as she moved emphatically across the floor.
“I’m glad it’s over, but it was so fun,” the singer said before scoring a near-perfect 39 out of 40.

Former Olympian Nova Perris joined celebrity chef Julie Goodwin in bidding an emotional farewell to the competition.
Dancing With The Stars will continue Sunday, August 11 as contestants prepare to face-off in the cutthroat semis en route to the Grand Final on Monday, August 12.
