Free return flights and major discounts: Airlines' Black Friday sales
Major airlines are embracing the US phenomenon of Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts spanning many popular routes from Australia.
While some carriers jumped on the trend earlier this week, with member early-access sale fares, the sale period officially began on Friday.
Asian budget airlines are leading the way with significant discounts on economy fares, including Scoot from Melbourne to Phu Quoc, Vietnam, from $269 one-way, and AirAsia from Sydney to Kuala Lumpur from $339 one-way.
Singaporean low-cost airline Scoot are leading the bargains with flights from Australia to Vietnam from $269 one-way.
Australian airlines are also jumping on the bandwagon, with Jetstar round-trip flights from Sydney to Byron Bay from $42, Qantas round-trip economy flights from Melbourne to Queenstown from $549, and Virgin Australia return Economy Lite seats from Sydney to Denpasar (Bali) from $609.
As always, terms and conditions apply to all of the sales below. Read on for some of our favourite Black Friday and Cyber Monday flight deals so far.
