Bo Nickal won again Saturday at UFC 309, and he even did a little golf swing for President-elect Donald Trump who was in attendance, but it wasn’t pretty.

And the crowd let him know it, breaking out in an “overrated” chant, in the final seconds of his unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) win over Paul Craig.

Nickal improved to 7-0 with the win. Craig fell to 17-9 overall.

“It’s a chance to see there’s some learning to do,” UFC commentator Daniel Cormier said before the decision was announced. “There’s some work to do before we see Bo Nickal in there with top guys.”

The crowd began to boo again as Joe Rogan approached the former Penn State wrestling champion for the postfight interview, and Rogan asked Nickal about that.

“I feel great, you know,” Nickal said. “I went out there and I dominated for 15 minutes.

“These guys want to see blood,” he said acknowledging the crowd. “They expect me to knock everybody out in 25 seconds or choke them out in a minute, and the reality is these guys are all professional fighters.”

Nickal noted that he has only been fighting around three years.

“I’m fired up about that performance,” he said. “I dominated him. I cut him.

“I was happy with it.’

Nickal then said people should “look at the greatest fighters of all time,” for the model that he is trying to follow.

“Jon Jones, GSP, Mighty Mouse, they are winning decisions over tough guys,” he said. “Paul Craig has 26 real fights, and I have six, ya know? And I whooped him for 15 minutes so I’m fired up.”
