Titans v Broncos: Brimson, Jolliffe in frame; Alarming slide continues

Brisbane Broncos

With a win over the Broncos already to their credit this season the unpredictable Titans will fancy their chances of knocking off 'big brother' again at Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday.

Sitting in 16th place at the time the Titans stunned the fifth-placed Broncos 36-34 at Suncorp Stadium with Keano Kini and Brian Kelly combining for 481 run metres and David Fifita racking up 230 metres.

Few could have predicted that the Broncos would win just one of their next six games following that defeat and slump to 13th on the ladder.

In contrast the Titans have won four of seven since downing the Broncos and kept their slim finals hopes alive with a superb comeback from 14 points down to beat the Dolphins on Sunday.

With AJ Brimson (groin) set to return to the line-up and Jaimin Jolliffe (pectoral) also a chance the Titans are sure to prove a dangerous opponent for more fancied rivals in the run to the finals.

Stat Attack The Titans are aiming for three successive wins against the Broncos for only the second time. The Broncos have won seven of their past nine games at Cbus Super Stadium. Titans winger Alofiana Khan-Pereira needs one try to equal his own club record of 20 set in 2023. Broncos five-eighth Ezra Mam has scored four tries in five games against the Titans. The Titans have won three of their past four games at Cbus Super Stadium.
