It’s been a dreadful afternoon for the Bulldogs and their supporters have let their side know about it, as a chorus of boos rang around Accor Stadium as early as halftime.

The Knights demoralised the Bulldogs, winning 66-0, good for their biggest winning margin of all time for the Newcastle-based club.

Fox League’s Darcie McDonald reported Bulldogs players were booed off the field by their own fans at halftime of the thumping.

Some fans even headed for the exits very early as the Bulldogs trailed 30-0 after 40 minutes, as The Daily Telegraph’s Phil Rothfield wrote on Twitter.

The boos at halftime did nothing to motivate the Dogs, with the Knights scoring 36 more points in the second stanza, taking advantage of some awful and lacklustre defence.

“God, the Bulldogs were so disappointing,” Greg Alexander said on Fox League after the game.
