Melbourne Storm superstar Cameron Munster was placed on report for an alleged bite on Paul Alamoti in the 74th minute of Sunday’s NRL Grand Final.

Referee Ashley Klein stopped the game with six minutes to go following the allegations made by the Penrith centre.

Munster was placed on report but not sent to the sin bin, stating: “We can’t be certain. It is on report. We will deal with it later.”

The incident drew comparisons to a similar one involving Dragons five-eighth Kyle Flanagan and Stephen Crichton earlier this season, which saw the former Panther accuse Flanagan of biting him.

Flanagan was suspended for five weeks as a result of the incident.
