Investigative reporter Nick McKenzie says the state government has big questions to answer over historic “ripping and rorting” going on at the CFMEU.

Mr McKenzie published fresh revelations on the ongoing CFMEU saga in The Age on Thursday, looking at the extent bikies have been involved with the construction union.

He told 3AW Breakfast it was time someone answered detailed questions on just how long taxpayer money has been used to fund the union.

“These guys were ripping and rorting like you wouldn’t believe,” he said on 3AW.

“That’s the big question that is yet to be answered by anybody, including the Allan government.”
