Wanderers to celebrate 10th Anniversary of Asian Champions ...

Western Sydney Wanderers FC are set to mark the 10-year anniversary of their unforgettable 2014 AFC Asian Champions League triumph with a special celebration at their upcoming home Isuzu UTE A-League clash against Adelaide United on Saturday 2 November 2024.

The night will honour the Wanderers’ historic achievement as the first Australian club to lift the prestigious Asian Champions League (ACL) trophy. Members and fans can expect a night filled with special moments, including: 

Past players returning: Players from the 2014-ACL winning campaign will be in attendance, reuniting with fans and sharing stories of the club’s legendary journey to the title.  Trophy on display: The coveted Asian Champions League trophy will be on full display for members and fans to relive the pride and joy of that unforgettable victory. Asian Champions League merchandise collection: The Wanderers will officially launch the ACL Anniversary collection, with the first drop of the merchandise available on the night. Special presentations: A series of tributes to players, members and fans who played key roles throughout the 2014 campaign. Pre-match and half-time festivities: The celebration will include special video highlights, player interview interviews, and on-field moments, ensuring the spirit of 2014 echoes throughout the CommBank Stadium. 

Western Sydney Wanderers CEO Scott Hudson shared his excitement for the upcoming celebrations. 

“This night is about bringing together the Wanderers family to honour one of the biggest moments in Australian football history,” said Hudson. 

“We invite our members and fans to join us in celebrating the legacy of 2014, reconnect with some of the legends who made it possible and create new memories together.”
