Long-time Channel 7 newsreader Mark Ferguson has put his country homestead up for sale.

The newsreader, whose future at the network has been the source of some speculation, has listed his property in NSW Southern Tablelands.

The Crookwell property Hazeldean has a price guide of around $8.5m.

According to property records, Ferguson and his wife Jayne bought the property in December 2014 for $1.95m.

The family have owned the home for almost 10 years.

The couple have totally renovated the sheep and cattle station in that time.

“A well-managed and highly productive livestock grazing enterprise located in the sought-after Southern Tablelands region of New South Wales,” the listing for the property reads.

“The historic but fully renovated four-bedroom Hazeldean homestead provides the best conveniences for modern living and is set within mature gardens

“Currently under long term contract management, providing an ideal add on enterprise for existing operators from outside the district, or rural holding for an investor.

According to the listing the property can hold 3000 merino ewes and around 150 cows.

The homestead dates back almost 100 years.

The property has a $8.5m price guide.

The home has been transformed by the couple.
