The Roast Of John Cleese was filmed last week in front of a packed audience at Melbourne’s Crown Casino. The special comes after Seven found success with a similar roast of Paul Hogan last year.
Once again the TV roast has been produced and hosted by Shane Jacobson and is set to feature a mix of ten comedians and performers paying homage to the Fawlty Towers/Monty Python star in a way only Aussies know how – firing insults at each other.
Celebrity roasters appearing on the special includes; Joel Creasey, Rhonda Burchmore, Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann, Tom Gleeson, Christie Wheelan Browne, Lawrence Mooney, Steve Vizard and Alex Lee.
Exactly how aware John Cleese is of this list of Australian celebrities remains to be seen.
