Australian equestrian Christopher Burton has won a silver medal in the individual eventing competition at the Palace of Versailles.
Burton entered the final showjumping round aboard Shadow Man in second place, and held his spot to win his first individual Olympic medal.
Burton previously picked up a bronze medal at Rio 2016 for team eventing.
“I’m over the moon. We’ve had just everything go right for us this week. We’re going to sleep well tonight,” Burton told Nine.
“The horse is just wonderful,” he said of his mount Shadow Man. “He’s a really special animal. I’m just blessed to be able to ride such a horse, you know?
“And I can’t believe I’ve had this chance. And I can’t believe what a fun time we’ve had in Paris.”
More to come.
