Penrith Panthers back rower Liam Martin has won the 2024 Clive Churchill Medal following his side’s grand final win over the Melbourne Storm.

Martin was impressive right throughout the contest, scoring a try, running for 66 metres, breaking three tackles and having three offloads while making 43 tackles with four misses.

“Oh wow! It’s so surreal,” Martin said after being presented with the medal.

“I love you boys so much. The character there to dig deep.”

Martin then addressed Penrith fans: “We do it for you. We love yas.”

The edge forward also had a hand in Paul Alamoti’s try, the third of the night for the premiers, chasing and collecting a Nathan Cleary kick that eventually saw Alamoti cross in the corner.

He is the third Panther to win the Clive Churchill medal during their four-peat reign following Cleary (2021, 2024) and Dylan Edwards (2023).
