The next installment of the hit Karate Kid series hits -- chops and dropkicks -- its way to your screen.
William Zabka, Ralph Macchio and Yuji Okumoto star in season 6 of Cobra Kai on Netflix.
Curtis Bonds Baker/NetflixIt's been a long road for Cobra Kai and now that we're in its final season, the Karate Kid sequel series is bringing the highest stakes yet. The sixth season of Netflix's hit series has been broken up into three parts; the second batch of episodes drops on Friday.
Cobra Kai brought ample drama in the first part of its final installment. Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence took the Miyagi-Do crew to Barcelona, Spain, to compete in the global karate tournament, the Sekai Taikai. During the competition, a handful of twists resulted in a strain on relationships within the team. Can they keep it together and see this whole thing through? Or will old demons and enduring rivalries break Miyagi-Do once and for all?
CNET was in attendance at Netflix's Geeked Week event in Atlanta, Georgia, this year and spoke with Jacob Bertrand and Xolo Maridueña -- who play Eli and Miguel, respectively -- about what fans can expect from these new episodes. By the sound of things, the stakes in season 6 are going to get even higher.
"Fans will definitely be stressed out -- 100%," Bertrand shared.
Maridueña added: "I'm really proud of it, not only of my ending in the show but of the show's ending. It was a big deal for Ralph and Billy to come to a close of this chapter, and to do that with them was an honor. They deserve all the flowers coming their way for this last season."
Ralph Macchio and William Zabka are still the headliners here. Martin Kove continues his sinister stares as John Kreese. Yuji Okumoto is back as Chozen Toguchi, everyone's favorite wild card. Core cast members Maridueña, Bertrand, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Peyton List, Gianni DeCenzo, Courtney Henggeler, Vanessa Rubio, Dallas Dupree Young, Alicia Hannah-Kim, Griffin Santopietro and Oona O'Brien are also back for this next round of episodes. As the buzz behind the next movie in the franchise, Karate Kid: Legends, builds, I can't help but wonder how Cobra Kai will stick the landing. One thing's for sure: this five-episode batch will surely pack an emotional punch.

Netflix's monthly price depends on your personal preferences. Do you mind watching ads during your favorite shows and movies? If so, you'll be paying $7 per month. It's worth noting with that plan, some content will be locked from viewing. If you'd prefer to dig into all the commercial-free content Netflix has to offer, there are ad-free plans available that cost $15.50 and $23 a month, respectively.
Maybe you're traveling abroad and want to stream Cobra Kai while away from home. With a VPN, you can virtually change your location on your phone, tablet or laptop to get access to the show from anywhere in the world. There are other good reasons to use a VPN for streaming too.
A VPN is the best way to encrypt your traffic and stop your ISP from throttling your speeds. Using a VPN is also a great idea if you're traveling and find yourself connected to a Wi-Fi network and want to add an extra layer of privacy for your devices and logins. Streaming TV can be a bit smoother with a reliable, quality VPN that's passed our tests and security standards.
You can use a VPN to legally stream content as long as VPNs are allowed in your country and you have a valid subscription to the streaming service you're using. The US and Canada are among the countries where VPNs are legal, but we advise against streaming or downloading content on illegal torrent sites. We recommend ExpressVPN, but you may opt for another provider from our best list, such as Surfshark or NordVPN.
ExpressVPN is our current best VPN pick for people who want a reliable and safe VPN, and it works on a variety of devices. It's normally $13 a month, but if you sign up for an annual subscription for $100 you'll get four months free and save 70%.
Note that ExpressVPN offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Follow the VPN provider's instructions for installation, and choose a country where Cobra Kai is streaming on Netflix. Before you open the streaming app, make sure you are connected to your VPN using your selected region. If you want to stream the show on more than one device, you may need to configure each one to ensure you're signed in. Go to settings and check your network connections to verify you're logged in and connected to your VPN account. Now you're ready to open Netflix to stream.
If you run into streaming issues, first ensure your VPN is up and running on its encrypted IP address. Double-check that you've followed installation instructions correctly and you've picked the right geographical area for viewing. If you still encounter connection problems, you might need to reboot your device. Close all apps and windows, restart your device and connect to your VPN first. Note that some streaming services have restrictions on VPN access.
