Commonwealth Bank says it is “urgently investigating” problems that stopped some customers from accessing its services.

Australia’s biggest bank said on Monday its call centres were experiencing higher volumes of customer enquiries on this incident, as well as longer wait times.

It said its branches were open but staff there would not have further details.
