The Heat are locked in a finals battle with the Denver Nuggets to become NBA champions and it appears Denver’s 47-year wait for a maiden NBA title might soon be over.
But back to Saturday night’s Game 4 and McGregor ... in an incident that was meant to be staged, the fighter suddenly lost it and took a wild swing that sent the mascot flying to the hard floor.
He then stood over the mascot and delivered another punch.

McGregor then bizarrely sprayed the mascot with the pain relief spray he was promoting.
It has been reported that the mascot was sent to emergency.
Reports say that the person is OK after taking medication and has been sent home, but the McGregor backlash on social media has been fierce.
“Conor McGregor should be charged with assault,” one fan wrote. “Lock him up.”
Another fan said: “Ban Conor McGregor from Heat games forever.”
While another said: “The fact that barbarian Conor McGregor isn’t doing a life sentence (is) a miscarriage of justice.”
And another simply called McGregor a “thug”.

There is a rumour, however, that he might fight Michael Chandler after The Ultimate Fighter season finishes.
He is 34 years old and lost his last two fights before taking time out.
He fights in the featherweight and lightweight divisions and his mixed martial arts record is at 22 wins and six losses.
Nineteen of those wins have been knockouts.
