Microsoft 365 Copilot Government Community Cloud (GCC) will be made generally available from 13 December 2024 for qualifying GCC environment customers.
The solution builds on existing features in Microsoft 365 Copilot, but with additional security compliance established from existing Microsoft 365 GCC tenancies.
Phase one of the release will include Copilot features in Microsoft 365 applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint to help government organisations create documents and analyse data, as well as features in Teams and Outlook for better collaboration and intelligent meeting recap.
Furthermore, users will have access to an artificial intelligence-powered business chat that leverages their organisations data to provide personalised, relevant information when needed.
“Security and compliance are at the heart of our commitment to public sector customers,” said Dan Narloch, product marketing leader of Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft 365 Government, in a post on LinkedIn. “Built on the secure foundation of Microsoft 365 Government GCC, Copilot adheres to all existing privacy, security and compliance commitments in the GCC environment.”
