LIVE NRL: Cowboys returning half's rugby league 'first' stuns Dolphins
Cowboys halfback Jake Clifford has delivered a bizzare moment, kicking a 40/20 that left almost every Dolphins player confused.
It was rugby league’s “first ever unintentional” 40/20 but Clifford’s bomb made fullback Trai Fuller stumble before the ball hit the ground.
It then bounced directly towards the sideline before Fuller realised the mistake he’d made.
This is Clifford’s first NRL appearance since 2022 when he played for the Knights after his first stint in North Queensland.
