Travis Head looked bemused after almost being caught in the unorthodox position.

"You can see the Australian batsmen, they're not happy with the pitch, Travis Head shook his head and looked at the surface," Mark Waugh said.

"... I don't think it's that bad of a pitch, it's not a traditional Australian pitch, it's more like a county surface really."
