Getty ImagesWWE’s civil war between the original Bloodline and The Bloodline 2.0 came to a head at Crown Jewel 2024, but it was Solo Sikoa’s crew who walked out of Saudi Arabia with the first victory in battle—and Roman Reigns shockingly took the pin.
In a six-man tag team match pitting Reigns and the reunited Usos against Sikoa, Tama Tonga and Jacon , the finish of the bout came marked one of the most surprising outcomes in recent WWE history when “The OTC” was pinned cleanly after a barrage of Samoan spikes by Sikoa. For Sikoa, it was the biggest victory of his career. For Reigns, it was a devastating loss and one that no one saw coming.
But rest assured, The Bloodline saga is far from over, and after Reigns was shockingly defeated, yet another major clash likely awaits the faction that’s been split in half.
The ultimate destination? Survivor Series: WarGames in Vancouver in just four weeks.
The highly anticipated event is widely expected to play host to a full-blown war—pun intended—between Reigns’ Bloodline and Sikoa’s version of the group. The match seemingly will involve all of the stars who just competed at Crown Jewel, only with a few extra major stars thrown in and the sadistic WarGames structure serving as the playground for the stars involved.
Paul Heyman, one of the key figures in The Bloodline saga, has been adamant that WWE remains in the early stages of a storyline that started way back in 2020. Given the constant twists and turns that fans have seen during that span, there’s reason to believe that more are coming, too.

WWE fans got a bit of a twist in Saudi Arabia when Reigns took an incredibly rare pin, and the next twist is likely to come in the weeks leading up to Survivor Series: WarGames.
There are, after all, numerous revolving parts who are cycling in and out of this storyline or are about to do so. After Sami Zayn showed up post-match in Saudi Arabia to assist Reigns and the Usos, will that lead to the reformation of the original Bloodline with Zayn included? Will the recent faceoff between Jacob Fatu and Bron Breakker—which took even WWE officials by surprise—lead to Breakker joining Reigns’ side? Does The Rock come back and wrestle again before WrestleMania, perhaps at Survivor Series?
The fact that WWE fans can ask so many questions about a storyline is a telltale sign that it is working to near perfection.
At Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, there were so many noticable moments that hinted at future plans for The Bloodline, such as Reigns’ clean loss and Zayn inadvertently taking our Reigns after the match. That is why this saga has clicked on all cylinders for nearly half a decade. There is no wasted movement, and virtually everything seems to have a purpose.
The Rock’s recent return, Heyman’s absence and expected return, the Usos’ shaky reunion and Zayn’s involvement are just a few factors to consider that could affect the route to Survivor Series and the expected squads in a massive WarGames match. A potential blockbuster bout could look something like this: Sikoa, Loa, Tonga, Fatu and The Rock vs. Reigns, the Usos, Breakker and Zayn in an incredibly star-studded bout.
Perhaps some of the specifics could change in the weeks ahead, but all signs are pointing toward a massive and highly anticipated WarGames clash that could rank as one of the most important matches in the long and storied history of The Bloodline.
Given the outcome in Saudi Arabia when Reigns lost and his version of The Bloodline failed to click on all cylinders, it’s a safe bet that WWE will spent the next few weeks trying to get Reigns’ faction on the same page. It’s a simple story that should lead to a WarGames match and a full-blown Bloodline reunion.
But it will take some work to get there.
