The iconic performer is bringing along Aussie favourites The Veronicas, who are stoked to be part of the tour. Taking to Instagram to reveal their involvement, the Origliasso sisters commented: “WHEN THE QUEEN CALLS - YOU ANSWER!! ☎️???? We are joining the ICONIC Cyndi Lauper on her Australian ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ Farewell Tour in April 2025! This is going to be FUN.”

The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour begins in Melbourne at Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday, April 2 and continues at Brisbane’s Entertainment Centre on Saturday, April 5, Newcastle’s Entertainment Centre on Monday, April 7 and Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Tuesday, April 8. Cyndi Lauper’s world tour kicks off this week in Montreal, with the 80s hitmaker performing across North America throughout November and December. Lauper then takes a short break before embarking on the European leg of her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour in February, making her final Australian appearance in April 2025.

The two-time Grammy Award winner rose to prominence after the release of her 1983 debut album, She’s So Unusual. The record was the first debut album by a female artist to achieve four top five hits (‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’, ‘Time After Time’, ‘She Bop’ and ‘All Through the Night’) on the Billboard Hot 100.

Along with her musical pursuits, Lauper has been an advocate for women’s rights and a supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community over the years.

Lauper’s Australian tour is the final chance for music fans to catch the colourful singer live and her Adeladie show promises to be an incredible night of live music not to be missed.

Catch Cyndi Lauper at Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Thursday, April 10. For full ticketing information visit cyndilauper.com.
