At the end of the day, a win is a win, no matter how ugly. The Dallas Cowboys really needed that win too. So even if it wasn't pretty, or dominating, they escaped the New York Giants with a 20-15 win on Thursday Night Football.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott didn't have a flashy game, a solid 221 yards and 2 touchdowns while going 22 for 27 through the air. His main target was CeeDee Lamb, who seemed like he was preparing for a monster game early, but ended up being held under 100 yards. Lamb's final line was 7 catches for 98 yards and a touchdown. Still good, but not a monster performance.

Lamb was tied in receptions with tight end Jake Ferguson, who also caught 7 passes. Ferguson only totaled 49 yards on the night, and didn't find the endzone. Running Back Rico Dowdle did catch a touchdown pass, his only catch of the night. It went for 15 yards and the score in the first quarter.

Dowdle also ran for just 46 yards on 11 carries, while running back Ezekiel Elliott totaled 19 yards on 5 carries.

In a stunning state line, all-world kicked Brandon Aubrey missed a field goal attempt for the Cowboys. While he did bang in a 60 yard field goal, he ended the night 2 for 3 on field goal attempts, and 2 for 2 on extra points.

On the other side of the ball, it wasn't necessarily the Cowboys defense that was holding the Giants down. The Giants have struggled on offense all year. Quarterback Daniel Jones was 29 for 40 with 281 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception. Their running game was only able to generate 26 rushing yards all night. Running back Devin Singletary rushed 14 times for 24 yards and no touchdowns.

Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers was the box score star of the game, catching 12 passes for 115 yards. But he didn't have a touchdown, because the Giants didn't score any touchdowns.

All of the scoring for the Giants came off the foot of Greg Joseph. The kicker went 5 for 5 with a long of 52 yards.

The Cowboys will play again on October 6th as they visit the Pittsburgh Steelers for Sunday Night Football.
