Human Nature vocalist Phil Burton has won Dancing With The Stars 2023.

Burton and partner Ash scored 39 points after a high-energy freestyle dance, a score matched by runner-up, Home and Away’s Emily Weir.

He wins $20,000 for his chosen charity, NSW Police Legacy.

Final scores were:

Phil Burton and Ash-Leigh Hunter – 39
Emily Weir and Lyu Masuda – 39
Virginia Gay and Ian Waite – 36
Christie Whelan Browne and Craig Monley – 36
Mary Coustas and Aric Yegudkin – 31
Paulini and Igor Ifliand – 30

Phil said: “This show has just been so incredible for the last seven weeks. I’ve had the absolute time of my life. And, you know, it is a competition but it doesn’t feel like that when you are out here and you are with all these amazing people, all dancing and having fun together. It just feels like a family. It’s been an absolute joy to be a part of it.

“I also want to thank my family who were here tonight, my beautiful wife and my kids. But the biggest thanks for me has to go to Ash here. She’s brought out a side in me that I never even knew existed,” he continued.

“I have had the most incredible time teaching Phil how to dance. I feel like I’d already won when I was dancing with Phil and it’s just been an incredible journey. I’ve just loved every minute of it, and I’m so, sou proud of you,” said Ash-Leigh.

Produced by BBC Studios Australia, hosted by Daryl Somers and Sonia Kruger, the show has been another winner for Seven with eliminated cast Charlie Albone, Gavin Wanganeen, Issa Schultz, James Magnussen, Laura Byrne, Matt Preston, Pia Miranda and Sally Pearson.
