Hugh Grosvenor and Olivia Henson were married in a ‘contemporary service’ at Chester Cathedral yesterday, with 400 guests including Prince William and Princess Eugenie in attendance. After the hour long ceremony, the couple travelled back in coaches to Hugh's home of Eaton Hall, where they hosted their wedding reception. Guests, including Charlie van Straubenzee and his wife Daisy, Jack Mann and his wife Isabella, as well as Lady Eloise Waymouth and her husband Louis, were treated to a wedding cake flavoured with lemon.

While it is not clear if Prince William attended the reception, Princess Eugenie opted for an elegant black gown with pink and yellow embroidered flower detailing for the event.

In the official pictures, taken by Princess Beatrice's wedding photographer Benjamin Wheeler, the Duke of Westminster and the new Duchess can be seen tightly holding hands as they celebrate with friends and family. One black-and-white image shows the couple walking amongst guests as they are covered in confetti. Another photograph shows Olivia gazing at Hugh as they walk through Eaton Hall's grounds. The bride's stunning custom gown by society favourite Emma Victoria Payne can be seen in its full splendour in the third image.

Meanwhile the fourth shows the bride arriving at the cathedral ahead of the service as she prepares to step out in front of crowds of Chester locals who had gathered outside.

In a statement ahead of the wedding, the couple's official spokesperson said, ‘This is an incredibly special day for the Duke and Miss Henson and they are very much looking forward to the service.

'It means a lot to them to marry in Chester Cathedral, especially given the Grosvenor family’s long and close personal connection to both the Cathedral and the city of Chester. The couple have also been moved by the messages of support they have received from around the region and are hugely grateful that people want to share in their happiness.’

The spokesperson added: ‘The Duke and Miss Henson have taken a great deal of care in planning the wedding, putting their own personal stamp on all the arrangements and have made a conscious effort to involve local and regional suppliers in several aspects of the day.’
