The 22-year-old is awake, conscious, and responding to questions from doctors and family members, according to initial reports from local media stationed at Florence’s Careggi Hospital.

Bove remains in intensive care and will undergo further tests throughout the morning.

Support from Team and Club

Fiorentina’s coach, Raffaele Palladino, arrived at Careggi Hospital shortly after 9 a.m., where he joined Bove’s parents and girlfriend. Fellow teammate Danilo Cataldi also visited, and senior officials from the club are expected to arrive later in the day to show their support.

Medical staff at the hospital were able to restore Bove’s consciousness and stabilize his heartbeat following his collapse. The incident is believed to have been caused by a blow to the torso during a clash with Dutch player Denzel Dumfries. Bove spent the night under sedation in intensive care.

De Gea Offers Reassurance

Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea visited Careggi Hospital and reassured reporters upon leaving that Bove was awake and improving.

Bove, who suffered cardiac arrest during the match, was revived by medical staff on the field and arrived at the hospital breathing. Tests conducted on Sunday evening ruled out severe damage to his central nervous and cardiorespiratory systems.

A new official statement on the 22-year-old’s condition is expected later today.
