Rapper 360 has claimed he wasn’t allowed to talk to Eminem when he opened for him on his 2014 Australia and New Zealand tour.

The 37-year-old Melbourne-based musician was part of a stacked support bill Down Under nine years ago with Kendrick Lamar and J Cole also on the lineup.

In a recent TikTok video reflecting on the experience, he described the other two opening acts as ‘super nice and chill’ and ‘down to earth’.

However, he added: ‘Didn’t meet Eminem, we were under strict instructions not to approach him, because he’s on a level of fame that is on that Michael Jackson level.’

360, whose real name is Matthew Colwell, insisted that despite the disappointment of not meeting his hero, being part of the Rapture Tour was a dream come true.

He said: ‘What an experience! From being my first ever show, also being probably one of the biggest reasons I started rapping and to end up supporting him on Australian, New Zealand leg of the tour – what the hell?

‘Mind-blowing – still mind-blown by it really!’

Plenty of fans were disappointed on 360’s behalf, with many of his followers wondering why the Without Me hitmaker wouldn’t meet with one of his support acts.

‘Makes him look like he’s up himself,’ wrote one fan, while another commented: ‘I’m a massive Em fan but you’d think just out of respect he would at least meet with you.’

A third follower said: ‘Now don’t get me wrong here because im a massive em fan buuut you’d think just out of respect he would at least meet with you. kinda low ngl (sic)’

Other people defended Eminem – who last toured Australia in 2019 – and decided to give him the benefit of the doubt while wondering if it was Slim Shady himself who made the rules.

One fan suggested: ‘He picked you, that’s amazing ???????? Also maybe it’s his “people” that make those rules not him. He seems very down to earth.’
