FEMA hiring locals to help with hurricane recovery
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - As our area continues to feel the impacts of river flooding, FEMA reached out to South Carolina residents to help their communities.
FEMA is looking to hire South Carolinians to help with recovery from Hurricane Helene.
They said they are looking for people with lots of different expertise backgrounds to help with this effort.
These open roles include a civil rights specialist, several hazard mitigation positions, an information technology specialist, and many more positions.
They want people to know that you do not have to be an expert to apply for these roles, as many people with FEMA started by just wanting to help their communities after disaster.
