14

The scoreline is Les Bleus' biggest ever, bettering the previous best set with a 10-0 win over Azerbaijan on 6 September, 1995.

9

Never before have nine different players scored in a single international for France: M. Thuram, Zaïre-Emery, Clauss, Fofana, Rabiot, Dembélé, Giroud (2) Coman (2), Mbappé (3)

Only two European teams have ever won by a bigger scoreline: Germany scored 16 goals against Russia in 1912, while Denmark defeated France 17-1 in 1908. Both of those games were at the Olympics, meaning France are the only European team to score 14 times in a UEFA EURO or FIFA World Cup qualifier.

27

The 27 goals scored in qualifying are another new France record. They found the net more times on Saturday night than they had in their first six qualifiers combined.

With Ethan Santos' own-goal (3') and Marcus Thuram's early strike (4'), France were 2-0 up inside the opening five minutes for the very first time.

300

Kylian Mbappé scored his 300th professional goal, reaching the mark faster than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

42

The France captain's third goal came from a lob from 42 metres, the longest scored by France since OPTA started collecting such data in 2006. Yoann Gourcuff's 35-metre effort against Romania in a 2-2 draw in 2008 in the next-longest by a France player.

It was the second time Olivier Giroud has scored a brace after coming off the bench, having also done so in the 3-0 win over Bulgaria in 2021. Only David Trezeguet has ever done better, netting twice on three occasions as a substitute.
