Star Docker's nervous wait as Freo's season goes on line
Andrew Brayshaw will be sweating on the Match Review, but three-time premiership Tiger Jack Riewoldt believes there is “no chance” the stand-in Dockers skipper will be banned for the contact that left Cat Tanner Bruhn concussed.Brayshaw and Bruhn collided in the second term of Geelong’s 11-point win over Fremantle, with the Cat taking no further part in the contest.
Geelong coach Chris Scott later revealed Bruhn reported “dizziness symptoms” before being subbed out of the match.

Fox Footy’s Nick Dal Santo questioned what else was expected of Brayshaw in a bid to avoid the contact.

“I’ll start with that contact – I don’t know how else to describe it but contact. I don’t know what you want Brayshaw to do?” he said post-match.
“Bruhn is going one direction, he slightly turns back into Brayshaw. If the onus is on Brayshaw then he needs to slow down prior.

“But I think he’s got every right to attack that contest thinking that the line of play is actually going to go in a straight way, or a straight line.
“Another real challenge and I think in a year there’s been really difficult to predict whether it’s a fine or a report, if they get completely cleared … I think we sit here, I’m not quite sure but my take would be I don’t know what else you want Brayshaw to do when the line of the person picking up the footy changes in the motion.”
Riewoldt agreed with Dal Santo’s take and said he’d be shocked to see Brayshaw miss a match.
“If that goes to Michael Christian, there is no chance that is a week. No chance!”
In commentary, Brad Johnson believed the collision was a complete accident, but Will Schofield was concerned given the Match Review’s onus on the outcome.
“I think it’s a strange one because they are the ones where the player has got his head over the ball, he’s leading with his head. He’s trying to get the ball though so difficult to get into a different position,” the ex-Eagle Schofield said.
“But Brayshaw hits him and now he’s out.
“Is it the outcome or the action here? Because if it’s the action that’s fine.
“But if it’s the outcome, maybe he’s in trouble.”

“I can’t see him being in trouble in that instance,” Johnson said.
“I think (Brayshaw’s) got good control and care for the player as he’s approaching that contest.
“Bruhn unfortunately fumbles the ball as well.
“This is one of those unfortunate accidents that happen within the game.
“I thought Brayshaw’s care in that scenario was good.”
Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir said he couldn’t comment on the collision, speaking post-match.
“I haven’t seen it so its hard to comment on a collision that you haven’t seen,” he said.
“Surely the MRO will work it out.
“No player intentionally thought to try to make contact with the head. We’ll see where it lands.”
Bailey Banfield could also find himself in hot water for a nasty looking incident in the fourth quarter where he appeared to make contact with the back of Cat Zach Guthrie’s head.
“You can’t be putting your elbow into someone’s head like that and getting away with it,” Johnson said.
“That’s not good at all,” Schofield added.
“That’s a brain fade there.
“I don’t like that at all.”
