Hollywood royalty has entered the building.

Amal and George Clooney made their grand arrival at the Albies, the annual event hosted by their Clooney Foundation for Justice, on Thursday evening. The award show was held at the iconic New York Public Library in Bryant Park, and boasted a star-studded guest list.

The Clooneys were the picture of elegance in coordinating black-tie looks. The human-rights barrister was striking in a long black velvet Versace gown with a sophisticated plunging neckline, a structured bodice, and a short train that flowed as she walked.

While the dress was simple and classic, Amal upped the ante with layers of fabulous Cartier jewelry: long chainlike drop earrings encrusted with tiny white diamonds, and a stack of cuff bracelets also entirely covered in diamonds. She carried a glossy black clutch and had on a shimmery smoky eye, a red lip, and a matching red manicure. Her hair was styled in elegant waves.

George was his dapper movie-star self in a classic black tuxedo. He finished off the look with polished black dress shoes.

The couple walked into the event hand in hand, and stopped for photos at several locations. In the images, the two are seen gazing lovingly into one another’s eyes.

The Albies were named for Justice Albie Sachs in tribute to his important role in ending apartheid in South Africa. The awards aim to honor and shine a light on individuals who have devoted their lives to justice.
