Hilary Duff Has Welcomed Third Child With Matthew Koma
A future Lizzie McGuire in the making.
It's official, Hilary Duff, AKA Kelsey Peters, is now a mother of three.
The Younger actress gave birth to her second child with her husband Matthew Koma on March 24, with the couple welcoming another baby girl.
Duff announced her daughter's birth on Instagram by posting a black-and-white photo of her family of five and announcing that she and Koma have chosen to name their child, Mae James Bair.
In the image, Koma is wearing a hat with "GIRL" written across the front, while Duff sits with her first daughter, Banks, in the birthing pool along with her first son, Luca—Duff's 8-year-old son from her previous marriage to Mike Comrie—watching on.
"We LOVE you beauty," read the caption.
Duff spoke to People in December 2020 about her third pregnancy, which she announced in October, detailing how it was different from her previous two.
"This pregnancy feels easier because there was a lot of fear with bringing a new baby home when Luca was already 6½. I'm more tired because of having a toddler but have less time to focus on the pregnancy because I'm busy with my kids and work," Duff said. "It's a nice distraction because I'm not googling everything and obsessing over everything that's happening with the pregnancy."
Both Duff and Koma previously revealed that they chose not to have a gender reveal party for their second daughter, given the currently global pandemic.
"We had a gender reveal with Banks and it was such a fun memory," she told People. "Unfortunately, during these times we felt it wasn't really appropriate. The way we are creating some excitement within the family is to wait to find out the sex on the baby's birthday!"
"I'm not one of those women who loves being pregnant by any means, but I appreciate what my body's doing for me and our family. So any given day, it varies between me missing my body that I get to put really cute clothes on, or feeling at peace that this is probably the last time that I'm going to be pregnant and trying to enjoy how sweet this time can be."
Congratulations to the new parents!
