Hubbl not working? It's not just you - major global outage hits ...
Users of the Hubbl streaming box and TV are reporting it’s not working today and the news is, you’re not alone. Some sort of major outage is affecting the services today with no clear resolution path forward.
EFTM has reached out to Foxtel Group for an update, and we will share that here as soon as we can.
Hubbl technical support have shared this simple message, which worryingly suggests you do not reboot your device. Sadly, thats the first thing any user would have done.
I’ve checked our Hubble Glass TV at home and it won’t turn on, while at the EFTM Studio the Hubbl set top box device is also not turning on.
Indications are this is not a problem restricted only to Australia, with Sky in the UK posting on their help pages on social media that they are aware of an issue.
Sky Glass is the same physical TV as Hubbl glass and Sky Stream is the set top box we know as Hubbl.
This indicates a bigger issue globally and points to a failed software update. That the boxes are now not working at all does not bode well for the recovery time.
If we don’t hear from Hubbl or Sky today, it might be worth investing in a Chromecast with Google TV or a Fetch box asap.
We had a caller on this week’s EFTM podcast who had switched his entire viewing to the Hubbl Glass TV getting rid of the Foxtel boxes and all – users like that will be without any viewing today until there’s a resolution.
