Cummins sold for record $3.66m, World Cup hero pockets $1.22m ...

Australian captain Pat Cummins has been sold to the Sunrisers Hyderabad for AU$3.66 million at the Indian Premier League Auction, the highest price in the competition’s history.

Earlier, World Cup hero Travis Head was also picked up the Sunrisers for $1.22 million. Following a bidding war between Hyderabad and the Chennai Super Kings in Dubai, the Sunrisers secured the services of the South Australian for INR 6.8 Crore.

Meanwhile, Australian superstar Steve Smith went unsold.

There are 21 Australians up for grabs in the Auction.
