While the family always called it a "medical complication," and that the actor was recuperating, no other health details were provided to the public.

Contrary to his family's update, the okmagazine.com quoted Hollywood journalist AJ Benza, who got in touch with a source close to Foxx, saying that the superstar suffered a series of other complications after getting his Covid-19 vaccine.

Shocking Update

During an appearance on Dr Drew Pinsky’s online show 'Ask Dr Drew', Benza revealed that Foxx got a blood clot in his brain.

"Jamie had a blood clot in his brain after he got the shot. He did not want the shot, but in the movie, he was in, he was pressured to get it. The blood clot in the brain caused him at that point to be partially paralyzed and blind. ," he was quoted as saying to the podcaster.

Benza insisted that his source was "someone in the room" who had first-hand knowledge of Foxx’s hospitalisation.

Rehab Visits

Last week, several reports claimed that the 'Django Unchained' star Jamie Foxx has been spending a lot of time in a physical rehabilitation facility since late April.

According to a Mirror.co.uk report, the 55-year-old actor has been receiving treatment at the Chicago facility after he was discharged from hospital following the unnamed medical emergency.

In photographs obtained by entertainment magazine TMZ, Corinne could be seen visiting Foxx with the actor's close friend Dave Brown. The publication reported that Foxx is getting "round-the-clock treatment," while his family continue to remain by his side.

TV Show Coming Up

Last month, Foxx's daughter Corinne reassured the actor's fans that her father was recuperating back home. Days later, she announced the father-daughter duo's plans to host a new game show for FOX Entertainment. The new series is expected to premiere in 2024 and will feature the non-famous relatives of celebrities performing duets with their well-known family members. The celebrities will be hidden and contestants can win up to $100,000 by correctly identifying them.

Earlier in May, Foxx took to Instagram for the first time since his hospitalisation to thank his fans and loved ones for all the prayers and good wishes.

At the time of his hospitalisation, Foxx was shooting for the upcoming Netflix film 'Back in Action' in Atlanta. The film reunites Foxx with Cameron Diaz, who took an eight-year break from acting before Foxx convinced her for the action comedy. It is directed by Seth Gordon and also features Glenn Close.

Foxx won the best actor Oscar for his role as Ray Charles in the music biopic 'Ray'. His most recent credits included the Netflix movie 'Day Shift' and a guest appearance in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'.
