Jennifer Lawrence is redefining maternity style for the red carpet. On November 17, the Hunger Games star was among the attendees at the 15th Governors Awards in Los Angeles, and she made a glowing entrance in a slinky chocolate gown dripping in gold.

The dress, from Bottega Veneta, had elegant ruched detailing on one shoulder and on one side of the hip—both places where it was accented with golden teardrop-shaped metallic buckles. The stretchy fabric of the piece hugged Lawrence’s baby bump, which she happily cradled as she posed for photos. As readers know, the actor is pregnant with her second child with husband Cooke Maroney.

J.Law continued the gold theme with a gilded clutch from the fashion house, which mimicked its signature woven bag pattern but was actually metallic. And on her ears, she wore moon-shaped golden hoops from Ana Khouri that paralleled the shape of her dress’s embellishments. She finished the look simply with dark-brown sandals from Manolo Blahnik, a chunky Ana Khouri gold ring, and her diamond engagement ring from Maroney.

But maybe the most sophisticated part of the entire look was Lawrence’s glam. The Dior ambassador had her blonde hair styled in a low bun, with the sides of her curtain bangs curled inward to frame her face. For makeup, she wore classic black cat eyeliner and a glossy berry lip.

Lawrence made another recent red-carpet appearance for the premiere of Bread & Roses on November 14. Then, she looked ethereal in a gauzy black floor-length dress from Christian Lacroix’s Fall/Winter 2006 collection.

Lawrence revealed the news of her second pregnancy this October. She and Maroney are already parents to a two-year-old son, Cy, whom they welcomed in February 2022 and named after the famous American painter Cy Twombly (one of Maroney’s favorite artists).
