In a huge announcement for fans, global rap sensation The Kid Laroi has revealed plans for his first-ever Australian stadium tour, slated for February 2024. The Sydney-born superstar’s homecoming follows the release of his highly acclaimed debut studio album, THE FIRST TIME, establishing yet another milestone in his skyrocketing career.
Presented by TEG Live, the tour is set to launch on February 2 at Melbourne’s AAMI Park, then will sweep through Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, the Gold Coast, and include a special performance at Auckland’s Spark Arena on February 5. This tour comes on the heels of his wildly successful 2022 Australian tour, which saw added shows to accommodate overwhelming demand. Fans are eagerly anticipating live renditions of LAROI’s hits, including the ARIA Award-winning “Stay” with Justin Bieber, the billion-streaming “Without You”, and recent chart-toppers like “Thousand Miles” and “Love Again”. The tour not only promises his well-loved anthems but also introduces fans to his latest work from THE FIRST TIME.
A pre-sale for Telstra Plus Members opens on November 16, offering a 24-hour exclusive window. General ticket sales commence on November 20, available via Ticketek, with times varying by city. LAROI, known offstage as Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, shared his enthusiasm: “I’m so excited to be coming back home in February! I felt so much love from the fans on last year’s tour – it’s something I’ll never forget. I can’t wait for you to all see this new show – we’ve taken things to a whole new level. I love you and I’ll see you all really soon.”
THE FIRST TIME album, a successor to his 2020 debut mixtape F*ck Love, marks a significant evolution in LAROI’s sound, reflecting his ascent to international fame. The album is a vibrant mix of collaborations, featuring artists like Jungkook, Central Cee, Future, Robert Glasper, YoungBoy Never, and D4vd. The tracks seamlessly blend hip hop with pop, alternative, and indie influences, showcasing LAROI’s dynamic artistry.
LAROI’s rapid rise to global prominence is a testament to his extraordinary talent and charisma. With two Grammy nominations in 2022, multiple ARIA Music Awards, Billboard Awards, and a National Indigenous Music Award, he has cemented his place in the music industry. Boasting over 38 million monthly listeners on Spotify, over 2 billion views on YouTube, and a recent North American tour with Lil Baby, his influence extends far beyond music charts. His inclusion in the official soundtrack for the 2023 film “Barbie” with the single “Forever & Again” highlights his diverse appeal.
This upcoming tour is more than just a series of concerts; it’s a celebration of LAROI’s journey from his early days working with Juice Wrld, his global hit with Justin Bieber, to the seminal album F*ck Love. Fans can expect a blend of emotional depth, catchy hooks, and show-stopping performances that have become synonymous with The Kid Laroi’s name.
THE FIRST TIME, released under Columbia/Sony Music Australia, is available now, setting the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable series of performances across Australia in 2024.
